STAFF INFORMATION

 

Lee Mitchell is the Recreation Director.  He graduated from Greensboro College in 2003 with a degree in Sports & Exercise Studies with a concentration in Sports Administration & minor in Business.  Lee worked for the Spears YMCA for 15 years.  His last role was Sports Director where he ran a program for over 5000 participants.

 

 

Adriene Heffner received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin from George Washington University in 1991, followed by her Graduate Certificate in Sports & Entertainment Venue Management from NC State in 2019, followed by her Master’s Degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism & Sports Management from NC State in 2019.  Adriene has a wide variety of work experience with High Point Parks & Recreation, multiple country clubs, & hotels/convention centers.  She has a passion for Recreation and the outdoors.  

 

Lauren Motsinger works part-time as the Personnel/Finance Assistant. After graduating from McMichael High School she attended RCC earning and Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. She joined the recreation department in 2006 and helps all of the departments with various tasks.

 

Le Burris is the Maintenance and Events Supervisor.  He keeps the facilities in working order and is also responsible for setting up for various events as well as maintaining the grounds at each of the recreation department’s nine facilities.
